JOSÉ MARÍA MELLADO
Almería, España, 1966
The passionate search of beauty in what may seemingly be banal, anodyne or decadent, is another keystone that helps build this artist statement.
Eager to convey the lived feelings to the spectator with the most possible complexity and fidelity, Mellado has carried in-depth investigations for the last years in the field of digital capture, treatment and output.
The careful selection of the media and the printing technique allow for the dissolution of the thin line that separates photography from hyperrealistic painting.
He has been awarded more that a hundred times and his works belong to many important museums and collections, participating regularly into some of the top art fairs inside and outside his country.
His book on technique "High Quality Digital Photography" has been best seller in Spain.
